2025 Womens Team
2025 saw the Penguins welcome their first ever Womens team to the field. Not only was it heaps of fun (the large crowds can attest to that), but their amazing season lead them all the way to the Grand Final!

FEBRUARY 2025:
Heathmont Baseball Club – 2025 Club Coach Announcement

Heathmont Baseball Club is very pleased to announce that Nick Rossell and Josh Hendricks have been appointed Co-Head Coaches of the Senior Program for the 2025 season!
Nick Rossell has been a Penguin since 2012 and will be playing his 200th game round 1.
He has been involved in tremendous success during his time with 6 A grade premierships and 2 A reserve premierships at the Club, and has been a recipient of the HBC A Grade MVP award.
Beyond the Club, Nick has also represented the U23 Victorian team 4 times and was the Melbourne Aces Rookie Of The Year in 2016 (playing with them from 2015-2018).
Working in the strength and conditioning industry, Nick knows a great deal about body mechanics and what it takes to perform at a high level.
Josh Hendricks began his journey with Heathmont as a youngster in 2006, and it has been his Winter home ever since. He has also been involved in tremendous success during his time, being a part of 5 premierships at the Club.
Beyond the Club, Josh represented Victoria from a young age, representing at U14, U16 and U18 age groups. He was also an Athlete with both the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) and Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) squads.
Josh also played in the USA for the Minnesota Twins in 2010-2012 and for the Melbourne Aces 2010-2015. 2022 saw Josh play in the WBC Qualifiers 2022 – as a member of the South African National Team!
We’re excited to have both Nick and Josh onboard!
Thank you to Mitch Ayres!

The HBC Committee and family wants to extend an enormous thank you to “Ayresy” on behalf of all our Members.
The Club has been very fortunate to have had Mitch at the helm over the past 5 years. Sure, there have been premierships and successes during his time (and we all love those!) but the impact Mitch has had on the club runs so much deeper.
Not only has he been an outstanding coach and leader, but as a member, teammate, friend and individual he is one of the best you will ever meet.
The guidance and support he has provided to players across all levels of the club and ability to communicate effectively with all our members throughout his time has been phenomenal. His investment in development and progression leaves the club in a position of strength going forward.
So Ayresy, thank you!
